Consulate General of Denmark - Shanghai

The General Consulate handles visa application for Chinese citizens who want to travel to Denmark.

The Danish Foreign Ministry manage the "Danskerlisten". The purpose of the list of Danes Abroad is to enable the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs to contact you if an acute crisis situation arises abroad. For technical reasons a new list of Danes was introduced on December 14th 2011. Since it is not possible to transfer your data from the old list to the new you are required to re-register if you want to appear on the List of Danes Abroad.

Shanghai Vikings

The Shanghai Vikings have been playing in the "Shanghai International Football league" since 1995. A well organized league - with more than 20 teams split in 2 divisions. They play FIFA rules, 11 aside on good grass turf pitches just outside Shanghai.

The Danish School in Shanghai

The Danish School in Shanghai offers Danish language taught once a week in small groups. The school covers teaching from Kindergarten and up to IB-level.

Danes Worldwide is the association which represents the many thousands of Danes who live abroad for personal or career reasons. They make sure that peoples children keep in touch with Danish language and culture, they offer local networks in the new country and give advice about everything from family happiness and education to legal issues.

Balut girls

One evening a month Danish women in Shanghai meet up at a restaurant in Shanghai to have dinner together, share information and experiences and help each other handle challenges they face living in Shanghai and China. After dinner they play balut.
