Chairman’s Corner: Christian Overgaard
It is with great sadness that I learned early November about the passing away of Christopher Bo Bramsen who had been fighting lung cancer for some time. Christopher was for decades a strong contributor to SinoDanish relationships and cultural bridging. Well known highlights of his achievements include former Danish Ambassador in Beijing, Head of the Danish EXPO Pavilion initiative, and even until his last day a very active board chairman of Danes Worldwide. Christopher's charisma, stubbornness and passion was a unique asset in arguing voting rights for Danes abroad, double citizenship and other cases in the interest of DCCC members.
Less known may be Bramsen's family ties to China through ancestors shipping trips up China rivers and the entrepreneurial industrialist Vilhelm Meyer; the name father to our DCCC China Business Person of the Year awards handed out recently for the 5th consecutive year.
We send our fond memories to Christopher Bo Bramsen and his family.

New DCCC Website Launch November 16th 2011
On Wednesday November 16th 2011 the three chambers in Beijing, Shanghai and South China will launch their new joint web-site (Shanghai still www.dccc-shanghai.com) improved with easier overview of activities across China, C.V. upload opportunity, posting of job openings and much more.
The site will be moved Tuesday evening, which means that you will not be able to access our site during the short transition. Please come back to us in case you no longer receive invitations or newsletters from us after November 16th 2011 and is still interested to do so. More practical information will follow immediately after new website is up and running.
Business Person of the Year and Entrepreneur of the Year 20111
Congratulations to Business Person of the Year 2011 John F. Christensen—Prime Cargo and Wagas and Entrepreneur of the Year 2011 Simon Lichtenberg, Trayton Group.
The winners were celebrated by 160 people at a great party on October 29th at the Langham Hotel , Xintiandi. Beverly Hills Orchestra kept the dancefloor occupied all night.
